Dame Deborah James smiles alongside Eamonn and Ruth at Royal Ascot

Dame Deborah James was spotted chatting and smiling with married presenter duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford during a day out at Royal Ascot on Wednesday 15 June.

The 40 year old podcast host, who is receiving end-of-life care for bowel cancer, wore an elegant look for the annual horse racing event, which featured a polka dot dress, gladiator sandals and a large straw hat as she posed for snaps with the pair trackside.

The trio seemed to be enjoying catching up in between races as Ruth knelt down by Deborah's side and place her hand over the mum-of-two's.

Wearing a three-piece white outfit, the former This Morning host looked stunning in a button-down blouse and matching blazer for the event.

Ruth gave her outfit a pop of colour with a bright tangerine hat and pink lipstick, and wore her blonde highlighted tresses in an up-do.

Eamonn meanwhile, opted for a smart black suit and a gold embossed tie for the day out.

The trio looked to be having a wonderful time chatting as they leaned in for the sweet snap.

Deborah arrived at the Royal event with her brother Benjamin James and his new fiancée Ashley Hall in tow.

Showing off her new diamond sparkler, Ashley beamed as she enjoyed celebrating a day out with her future sister-in-law.

The blonde beauty opted for a blue floral dress and cosied up to her husband-to-be and Deborah for sweet snaps in the Royal tent, which came complete with decadent desserts and cakes on the table behind them.

Podcast host Deborah shared the happy news her brother had officially popped the question and gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend earlier this month.

After 11 years in a relationship, Deborah joked Benjamin had "finally put a ring on it" and she was over the moon for the couple.

"I couldn’t be prouder to be able to finally say that @ashleyclairehall will be my sister in law – I adore her," the Bowelbabe fundraiser shared on her Instagram page. "And she makes @benjaminrjames happy which is all that matters and vice versa.

"Of course I’m sad I won’t see the wedding but it gave me an excuse to throw my last impromptu party (and I even sat at the table for a bit of it!!)," the mum-of-two continued.

Deborah went on to post the details of her "last" time organising a party, as she told her fans how much she loved designing table scapes, but was happy to hand over the baton to her daughter Eloise, 12, who has "truly now outdone" her.

"Ashley welcome officially to a slightly mad family, but we couldn’t be happier you are here x," the star gushed.
