Jada isn’t afraid to get real about aging. “I think as you get older, you really get to the point where you just don’t care anymore what people think,” she told Entertainment Tonight back in 2016. “There’s a certain freedom that comes with that, [which] you really don’t have when you’re young. With age comes a lot of wisdom and I’m happier now than I have ever been, so it’s good.”

The Girls Trip star says the key is self-acceptance and feeling free enough to tell others “this is me, this is my skin, this is my face, this is my body, love it or leave it.” She added that “I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten more acceptance from myself and I think that releases a lot of stress. I take really good care of my body,” per ET.

Some of that self-care knowledge comes from following in her mother’s footsteps. “My mother keeps such a youthful spirit. She’s young at heart. She takes really good care of herself. We both do. Eating well, exercising, drinking water. We’re both really on it,” Jada said on Red Table Talk, per Today.

The Gotham actress has also been totally honest about struggling with her hair in the past. “I get little steroid shots, which are working,” she said. “My hair, in certain bald spots, is growing back. I wrap it a lot and let it rest. I try to leave it alone as much as possible.”

Looks like now, thanks to Willow, she’s getting a fresh, stunning start.
