Chickens kicked to death at primary school in ‘mindless act of cruelty’

The summer holidays started badly for one school cohort when its chickens were brutally kicked to death.

It is believed the gory event unfolded on Sunday night when as many as six people entered the school grounds.

They climbed over the gates of Middleton Primary School in Leeds and headed for the chicken coop, Leeds Live reported .

Once there they laid until the birds until they were dead.

A spokesperson for the school said: "We are obviously extremely shocked by such a mindless act of cruelty.

"The matter has been reported to the police."
