Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and Nathan Henry have opened up about how hard it is to have a love life on the show.
Sophie 's ex Joel Corry featured alongside her a lot on the MTV show throughout their six-year relationship.
When it ended in 2017, she faced a difficult time as she returned to the show as a singleton.
Similarly, Nathan split last year from his boyfriend of three and a half years, and was seen breaking down over his heartache in the series 19 premiere last week.
This was his first series as a single lad in a long time, while for Sophie, she was getting used to once again having a boyfriend on the outside world now that she's dating builder Jay.
And they say that it's been difficult to navigate for both of them.
The pair opened up during an exclusive chat with Mirror Online, alongside newbies Beau Brennan and Nat Phillips.
Nathan told us: "The first night was very emotional. I went through the break up outside the house but I still had to talk about it because I hadn't seen some of these since and I had to explain it.
"The first night I did have an emotional breakdown and I don't think going out was helping things. As the series went on it followed my journey to the end and now I'm in a better place but it was probably the hardest series I've done so far.
"I did enjoy it though and it taught me a lot."
Sophie added: "I think your break up series are always the hardest, I've been through them too. Me and Nathan both had our break ups on the outside and that can be good and hard at the same time because obviously you don't have phones and social media which is a good thing because you're not drunk texting them.
"But at the same time, you don't know where you want to be so you do feel pressure to go out there and find someone and people are saying to you to get out there. In the real world you wouldn't be out there looking for love straight away, but in there it's different."
Sophie is now loved up with Jay, and said she's trying to play things a little differently this time around.
She explained: "I think because of my past relationship I gave everything to Geordie Shore and told them, 'This is my relationship, get him involved' and after that I wanted to take a step back.
"Although my boyfriend is involved in it every now and then it's nothing like in the past. I just want to keep something separate because I don't want the person I'm with now involved in my work.
"Plus I wanted to be there with Nathan and get to know the newbies and I didn't want to just be with my boyfriend all the time. But it is really hard having a relationship on the outside, I forgot how hard it was. It is easier on the inside."
And Nathan warned her: "Well, I kept mine separate and look how that went – down the pan!"
The stars say this series delivers lots of dramas, with plenty of arguments and even physical fights.
Sophie says the fighting is worse now that everyone knows each other so well because they know "how to push each other's buttons".
