Lauren Alaina is among the contestants named for ABC‘s the upcoming 28th season of “Dancing With the Stars,” which will premiere on September 16.
The list revealed on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday contains a diverse group of contestants.
The “Road Less Traveled” singer, who becomes the seventh country singer to join DWS, will be competing with the likes of Mary Wilson, Ally Brooke, Hannah Brown, Karamo Brown, James Van Der Beek and Christie Brinkley.
Ray Lewis, Kate Flannery, Kel Mitchel, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom are also in the cast.
Country radio deejay Bobby Bones, who won the contest in 2018, became the second person with country music roots to emerge a winner.
The pairings will not be revealed until the season premiere.
Alaina shared the news of her inclusion on Instagram, writing, “Mirror, Mirror on the ball. Surprise!!! @dancingabc Can’t wait!”
